LISAPAC

 

LISAPAC, a Federal Political Action Committee is the bipartisan political action committee of LISA.

The purpose of the PAC is to use funds raised to support candidates for the United States Senate and House of Representatives who endeavor to promote consumer rights which will lead toward a strong and competitive market for the life settlement industry by advancing the legislative and regulatory interests of the members of LISA.

LISAPAC sponsored events will also provide PAC members and LISA representatives opportunities to interact with policymakers in small settings with an exclusive focus on the goals of the life settlement industry.

Any U.S. citizen or green card holder can contribute to LISAPAC. Contributions must be voluntary. Contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.. Please note that LISAPAC cannot accept corporate contributions.

LISAPAC is valuable year round, not only when there are federal elections. Legislative and regulatory activities are functioning all the time. PACs that have the resources to make their agenda known are highly visible in the political arena.

LISAPAC is administered by its Board. LISAPAC’s Board is comprised of LISA’s President, the Chairman of the Political / Legislative Committee and the LISA Executive Director.

Benefits and Resources

LISAPAC contributors will receive special recognition at LISA’s annual meetings, invitations to fundraising events, and opportunities to represent the life settlement industry’s position in the public policy process. In addition, LISAPAC members will have the opportunity to review and provide input on legislative priorities and provide enhanced input to the industry’s position on federal and state level issues. LISAPAC members will receive quarterly information detailing the activities of LISAPAC and advance notice of political activities and opportunities as well as political contact assistance from PAC representatives.

In addition to base-level membership, LISAPAC also features several contribution levels, each with their own member benefits. Contributions at these levels will be acknowledged with additional privileges and opportunities. Each member of LISAPAC is will be asked to participate on an annual basis. The level of memberships include:

Eagles Club
$5,000 in contributions to LISAPAC & $5,000 to LISA sponsored state PACs

Leaders Circle
$5,000 in contributions to LISAPAC

LISAPAC Member
$1,000 or more in contributions to LISAPAC

Your contribution can make a difference!

Contributing to LISAPAC allows you to maximize your industry’s views within the political and regulatory structure. Your donations are enhanced by the support of other members of the industry. In giving to candidates who are identified by the PAC, we further enhance our industry’s position and promote our presence in the policy arena. This mechanism will allow us to identify the appropriate individuals in public service who can really influence our business which will allow our members to make direct donations according to their focus, preferences or interest within the identified universe.

All of us
in the life settlement industry have a stake in the future viability and competitiveness of our industry. That future can be determined largely by Congress.
We must all get involved to support and defend our positions against a growing list of competing interests.
 

 

The individual contribution guidelines are only suggestions. If these guidelines are not appropriate for you, please feel free contribute in any amount of $250 or more. Your participation in LISAPAC is an important part of the political process that will help us collectively make a difference
 

Contributions to LISAPAC are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for Federal Income Tax Purposes.
